memory of water

$15.00

Drawing from a glossary of water, in which rivers represent time and oceans cyclicality, this long poem positions the speaker’s body, any body, as a correspondence with the ongoingness of matter within this earth-globule. As I read, I kept thinking of the way a fountain loops, is always and entirely itself, both that which flows out and that which flows in. The birthing of water by water is a perpetual decentering or dispersion of centers and a gathering. And in this way, memory of water reads, not quite like a koan, but like a spiritual truth one must experience to know.
